CLASSIC CHARLESTON CONDOS

Built in 1923 and formerly known as The Fort Sumter Hotel, the Fort Sumter House or 1 King has converted luxury hotel rooms into condos in the 1980's. Although the ceilings are lower than a lot of other properties, the historic significance of this building is appealing, as well as the views from many of the properties overlooking the White Point Garden Park and the Charleston Harbor. Not all condos are outfitted with washers and dryers, but it is not difficult to send clothes to a neighboring laundry. This building has the right South of Broad neighborhood with a landmark address, parking for two, and a pool with views. The Battery is designed for walking, jogging, roller blading, and meeting neighbors.
